Bitter Willougby's Little Luxuries:
No, I am afraid I did not name it after the character in Jane Austin's novel, Sense & Sensibility :) The name Bitter Willoughby was actually inspired by a vintage photograph of a neon store sign found in the stacks of a local museum. I love black and white and was just transfixed on how clear and perfect the name appeared in the otherwise grainy, poorly shot photo. The name itself was so charming that I "filed it away" until I could find a project worthy of the name.
The project, "Bitter Willoughby Little Luxuries," is my newest line of body care and candle recipes combining luxurious ingredients and wonderfully "petit" packaging. It has taken over a year to realize the vision but I am super-happy with the results and I know you will be too :)
Our workshop is located in Paso Robles, California, nestled in the midst of some of the finest wineries in California. It is this beautiful Central Coast environment that provides much of the inspiration for our unique VERIS product lines for the last 10 years. Utilizing small-batch methods of production and carefully selected botanical ingredients and natural waxes, we are dedicated to offering the finest natural bath and candle products. We enjoy what we do and it is demonstrated in the quality of our products and commitment to our customers.
